Privacy policy

Isochrone for Android and iOS · Last updated 9 October 2026

Isochrone is made by Luke Kavenagh ("I", "me"). This policy explains what information the game handles and where it goes. In short: the game itself collects no personal information, has no ads and no analytics, and never sends your data to me. The only outside services it uses are the ones built into the platform you play on — Google Play Games and Google Play billing on Android, Apple Game Center and the App Store on iOS — all run by Google or Apple.

Information stored on your device

Your progress, solutions, settings, scores and daily-puzzle history are saved in a file on your device. That file is never uploaded to me. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in your device settings, deletes it.

Leaderboards and achievements

Isochrone uses the platform's game service for sign-in, achievements and its two leaderboards (an all-time total and the daily puzzle) — Google Play Games on Android, Apple Game Center on iOS. When you are signed in, the game sends that service your achievement progress and your scores. Your scores can appear on the leaderboards alongside your Play Games or Game Center profile name and avatar, visible to other players according to your own settings for that service.

The game asks only for basic access to that game service. It does not request your email address, your contacts or any other account data. Google and Apple handle this information under their own privacy policies — the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy — and you can view, manage or delete your Play Games or Game Center profile and data in that service's settings. If you never sign in, no scores or achievements leave your device.

Purchases

The full-game unlock is sold through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iOS. Google or Apple processes the payment, and I never receive your card or payment details. The game asks the store whether you own the unlock so it can turn it on, including after a reinstall or on a new device.

Like every developer, I receive the standard order records the stores provide through the Play Console and App Store Connect (such as order number, date, product, price and country), which I use for accounting and to handle refunds. On Android I also receive an automatic alert when an unlock is purchased; it contains only the product name, nothing about who bought it.

Crash reports

If you have allowed your device to share usage and diagnostics data with Google or Apple, the store may give me aggregated crash and performance statistics (Android vitals, or App Store analytics). These help me find and fix bugs, and do not identify you.

What Isochrone does not do

Children

Isochrone does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only personal data involved is what the platform's game service and store handle under Google's and Apple's own policies.

Changes

If the game starts handling information differently, I will update this page and the date at the top.
